I spent the past few weeks in Africa and experienced some amazing sights on safari.
One of the days I looked over to my kids and was in shock.
Where did the years go? My son is now taller than I am and only the weight that I am trying to lose keeps him from wrestling me to the ground.
So we are heading back to school in the next few weeks! My son enters his last year of high school and is already having to make decisions about college.
A question that I get from many parents is “When is the right time for me to plan for college?”
The next comment I get after spending some time with parents is “Why didn’t someone tell me about this 10 years ago”
The good news is that it’s never too late to start college planning. The bad news is, EVERYONE should have started the day their child was born.
The costs and entry requirements to college are changing fast – even just since the students finished school before the summer.
So what should we do?
What we have found that most people do?
How much do we have saved? [Spend it]
How much can we get more money? [Borrow it]
Is there room in the budget? [Squeeze it]
How can I get financial aid?
What people should be doing? [ABCD Concept]
Apply for Financial Aid
Become Cash Flow Efficient
Credit – Determine borrowing sources
Determine borrowing sources
It’s never too early or too late to put together your plan. There is never a better time like NOW!
